NCAA Board of Director’s Nominated
The Board of Director’s nominated for the 2004-2005 Membership year are: President-Jerry Wolfenbarger, Vice President-Brian Douglas and Secretary-Claire Willette.
These positions will be officially voted in at the next meeting on April 1st (please note date change).
April Meeting Date Changed
Due to scheduling conflicts with the Abbey the next meeting of the NCAA, Inc. will be on Thursday, April 1st, 7:00pm.
The May and June meetings will be held on the first Friday of the month.
You will be able to register or re-register your NCAA memberships, but we ask, due to time, that if you could please visit one of the local ATV dealers in the area that would be appreciated.
Les Cedres, Quebec, February 21st Ride
The Les Cedres ride went well. The trails were in fairly good condition. They broke up some by the time we were returning due to the temperatures warming up and light rain conditions.
The trails in Les Cedres are different than Cowansville. They are more wooded and rural. Cowansville has a lot of riding next to and crossing of roads.
Approximately 20 machines went on the ride, they stopped and had lunch at a local restaurant and had a good time.
Maple Festival Parade
The Maple Festival is held April 23-25 in St. Albans. On Sunday, April 25th we will be participating in the Maple Festival Parade.
There will be a float pulled by one of the trucks and any of our members can ride their ATV in the parade. Please make sure you have a helmet and ride two passengers only if the machine is built for it. We will have more information on this as the Maple Festival gets closer.
VASA Annual Meeting
Saturday, April 17th, 12:00 noon at the Barre Elks Club, VASA will be holding their Annual Meeting.
We need to have a strong member showing. You all have a voice. If you have a choice of who you would like in Office, etc. please attend.
They will be serving snacks and beverages before the meeting.
Trails Closed until May
The Enosburg trails are closed until May 15th for mud season. If the ground dries earlier we will adjust the opening time, same as if it stays wet.
Montreal Motocross
In late September, Montreal holds an annual Motocross event. We will keep you up to date on this event and will eventually have a sign up sheet for anyone interested. That way we can get a count and either rent a couple of vans or possibly a bus, depending on the number wanting to attend.
ATV Survey
The Vermont Natural Resource Council has put out a survey regarding ATV use. At the next few meetings we will have copies for members to fill out and give back to us. VASA has asked us to collect them so they can present them to the ATV Task Force.
These surveys are very important for every member to fill out and return!
Should we increase/decrease Club dues?
VASA has increased their dues this year to $25.00 for an in-state registered machine and $45.00 for an out-of-state registered machine.
We are looking for your input on if we should lower, raise or keep the same dues rate of $20.00 for the Club.
That would make a persons membership total to either be $45.00 for a Vermont registered machine or $65.00 for an out of state registered machine if we leave the Club dues as they are.
Let us know your feeling at the April 1st meeting.
