Trail Liability Insurance Resolved
As of August 14, 2003 at 4:30pm VASA secured a full landowner liability policy. It is not a temporary fix.
TRAILS ARE OPEN!!!!
We need help from all of our members to approach the landowners for permission to build trails.
We also need to get the existing Enosburg trails cleared. We will be setting up small work parties to get this done. We will notify you of the work dates when they are set.
Franklin County Field Days ATV Pulling Event a Huge Success!
We had the best staffed and the biggest event on the Big Dog Pulling Circuit. The average pulls were 48, ours was 71 pulls.
The club made $487.25 in profits from the event.
Thank you everyone who helped staff or pull in the event.
Also, Thank you to our sponsoring ATV dealers who helped us pay for the trophies for the event.
New Hampshire Quad Rodeo
There was a huge turnout at the Rodeo August 8-10th. There was over 1000 ATV machines around the Rodeo site.
Everyone had a real good time!
Club Party Anyone??
Mike Menard offered us to use his property for a Club pig roast/party. He has a roaster, horse shoe pits, etc. for us to use. The club will buy the pig and then anyone who attends can bring a dish. It will be BYOB.
It was mentioned possibly doing a ride on the Enosburg trails first then go to the party site.
The party is tentatively scheduled for September 6, 2003, 12:00 noon. This is a family event, so please go ahead and bring the kids. We will update you on this event later.
Alan Parent, State Representative
Some of the discussion we had with Mr. Parent was: about any possibility of opening State lands, this is going to be a battle. Many organizations against ATV’s.
Mr. Parent has the belief that if legislation was introduced, the current Government would support ATVing.
Mr. Parent suggested we (VASA and Clubs) make a presence at the State House by setting up a booth to educate the State representatives regarding ATV use in Vermont. It takes time for them to acknowledge the information.
Mr. Parent suggested talking to your Legislators and stay informed about ATV issues. If you start asking questions, it might “wake them up” to the fact there is a large group of ATVers.
Thank you Mr. Parent for taking the time to field questions and support ATV’s in Vermont.
List of Vermont ATV Clubs and Contacts

Not all of them have established trail systems but now that we have insurance you are welcome to contact any of them to ride their trails.
Happy riding everyone!!
